Cyclists can choose from a variety of route options-riding for just one day, or choosing to take the two day challenge, tour. Total mileage 50 miles. Highest elevation overlook, 3,385 feet, Hogback Overlook.           Here we are at the vistor center at Dickey Ridge, elevation 1940 feet.   22 - 25 - Washington DC AIDS Ride Raleigh NC to Washington, DC, 1,800 Cyclists + 500 crew 330 miles. Riders will take four days to cover the 330 miles from Raleigh, NC to our Nation's Capital, cycling through small towns and historic countryside. The Closing Ceremonies in Washington, DC are the most incredible in the nation. Riders converge 'en masse' on the The Mall in front of the Capitol Building. Benefiting...Since the inaugural California AIDS Ride Presented by Tanqueray in 1994, American AIDS Rides have grossed nearly $87 million. In 1997, an estimated 11,000 Riders, each of whom had raised at least $1,500 in contributions, participated in one of the five AIDS Rides that have dotted the country from California to New York.
