Chuck & Dave's in Takoma Park, one of our most generous and supportive donators to Team DCs annual toy drive, has, unfortunately, closed. They invited me in to fill boxes with toys for Children's Hospital after they closed their doors. Claudia, a volunteer from the hospital and I, delivered 2 car loads of stuffed animals, games, toys and books to the volunteer office. An accounting of the retail prices of all the items amounted to almost $8700 worth of goods. Thanks Chuck & Dave's, we won't forget your kindness and generosity. |
