Urban Rangers - Team DC applauds this program and happily went off road in July with this community youth service corps devoted to connecting inner-city neighborhood youngsters with community service and bikes. With the completion of 75 hours of bike tech curriculum and community service, kids have earned 18 new bikes in the past two years, thanks to the leadership of Katie Davis and support of City Bikes. Team DC took kids and program volunteers mountain biking this year for fun in a suburban Virginia park. Everyone loved a day out of the city and a tailgate picnic lunch topped off with their favorite liquid refresher. We'll repeat this outing again in October of 2001. Archived Picture
