Here's my experience by the numbers on our 7/8/02 ride. 11 AM ride start of The Boyce N' Berry(ville) Smoothie 10 riders treated to a route of contrasting Virginia & West (by God) Virginia counties 1 rider with an internal generator wheel hub 6 miles I cycled off the cue sheet 99 derelict rusty vehicles seen slowly sinking into the West Virginia earth 32 (approx.) number of total teeth between patrons & customers (excluding me) in W.Va. convenience store 1 map the convenience store had that I needed to find my way out of W.Va. 1750 year George Washington erected directional sign in White Post Virginia, under the authority of Lord Fairfax to lead travelers on the Old Dutch Wagon Road 3-5 Rail Road crossings 96 railroad cars "Theme Queen" Jann counted while waiting to cross 99 rolled bails of hay on the rolling green hills of the Shenandoah Valley 43.3 mile route for Jann "Theme Queen," Gentleman Jim and Ed of Middleburg 56 ice cubes the nice lady at Shenandoah Golf Course put in my Camelback 14 minutes off the bike watching hay bailing operation 1.5 rolls of film shot 2 times I stopped at the Burwell-Morgan Mill in Millwood 65.4 miles cycled by Steve, Smiley, Smiley South, JohnO, Johnny B, Nick, and David T 2, maybe 3 signed up riders for The Face of America Ride 0 Flats, falls, road rash 1,000,000 thanks to JohnO and Steve for putting a great ride together!   John Burwell
